Norfolk, VA, USA—The Compassion Advocacy Network, Inc.(CAN), a leading nonprofit organization that provides essential care needs, groceries, and support to isolated seniors, is pleased to announce a generous donation of $5,000 from Sentara Health.

This significant donation will be crucial in our fight against senior isolationism and hunger. The funds will support our various program initiatives, such as the CAN Help! Bags, Compassion On The Move, and the Technology Education Program make a tangible difference in the lives of the seniors we serve and enable us to continue our operations effectively.


  • CAN Help! Bags: These bags are carefully curated to provide seniors with various items that cater to their physical, mental, and emotional well-being. They include Activity booklets and colored pencils for mental stimulation, relaxation, and boredom relief; quality protein items to meet basic nutritional needs; snacks for pleasure and self-esteem; hygiene items like hand sanitizer to facilitate proper hand-washing during the pandemic; and relevant additional items.

  • Compassion On The Move is our mobile food pantry. This program operates by [insert details about the program's operations], delivering food and other items to the front doors of isolated seniors and helping to supplement their grocery bills so they don't go hungry during the month.
