About the event
We're looking for CAN-Helpers to help inventory, sort, and stuff our CAN Help! bags in preparation for our mobile pantry, Compassion on the Move, where we supplement much needed groceries and basic care items for isolated seniors.
Things To Know:
We meet on CAN Help! Days at one of two facilities located on Azalea Garden Rd. in Norfolk, VA. You will receive detailed instructions, as well as the exact location via email 2-3 days prior to your scheduled day.
The end time is displayed as 12:00 PM; however, we continue filling CAN Help! bags until all are filled. We are looking for volunteers that have a bit of flexibility in their schedules; however, if you have other time obligations, please let us know!
Being a CAN Helper does not involve a lot of heavy-lifting or strenuous activity; however, we are more than happy to accomodate any physical limitations.
